I'm the kind of guy who has been creative all his life. At school, I doodled in the margins instead of taking notes. In college I met pretty girls by offering to draw their portraits. Throughout my working career as a commercial writer, reporter, editor and commentator, I've tried to paint word pictures to make issues clear. More recently I've taken courses at the Maryland Institute College of Art and elsewhere to return to the purely visual medium.
All of which is simply to say that painting is fun for me. I hope that comes through in my watercolors, particularly in the portraits of homes.
